About Me

My name is Suzanne Mathieu, am married to a wonderful husband named Alain, and have two wonderful children who are my world. I grew up in Saskatchewan and then moved to Manitoba as an adult.  I met my husband and we married and had two children.  My husband is from Quebec and his family is mostly French.  My family speaks mostly English.  We decided to raise our kids bilingually in both official languages and this is about our journey in raising our kids in two official languages, but also discovering the French community that exists in Manitoba and the traditions and values that exist in this community.

My husband Alain
I fell in love with my husband and  I have never looked at any other. I met him when he was posted in Winnipeg, Manitoba with the military. He has spirit, is spunky and tells you like it is.  He is a great friend and father.  He loves his home province but also loves his adopted province.  He enjoys being part of the Franco-Manitoban community and has embraced that his kids are being raised here.  He loves to cook and I will be posting some of his wonderful recipes on here.
